Goals this week

My weigh in this week was a day early due to traveling and I maintained which I expected & was ok with.

I am putting goals out there to lose 2 this week which would put me on track to where I want to be at the end of the month.  I am going to achieve this by:
- drinking my water
- eating an apple a day (as suggested in the skinny rules)
- add a Crossfit (no equipment) workout in at night with my husband after the kids go to bed

My goal with the last point is to curb late night cravings & add something fun for us to do as a couple.

Will be reporting the results!

I've been bad- what's your struggle?

When a week comes along where my emotions are tested, it's so hard to stay on course!  Even though I know I will feel better if I do!  Add to that our gym closing where I go to my classes to get it resurfaced & it's not a good week all around!  But...

What about you?

I've gone just over my daily calorie goals this week & we have a trip to Seattle planned this weekend.  My goal today & tomorrow is right at 1200 to hopefully break even this week at my weigh in.

I have 10 pounds to lose before July 23.  And then 10-15 more before Sept 8.  I will make this work!!!  Thanks for reading.  Even typing this out helped!

Weigh In!

Saturday is my weigh in & cheat day.

I am down another 2 pounds this week!  I have a goal to lose 9 more by July 20.

I am really excited about the weight loss. It moved me to a lower "decade" on the scale.  Work outs are getting easier & I am getting STRONG.  Very happy.

In inches, I lost inch but it feels like more.

Leftovers lunch

Sometimes it is a struggle to use leftovers for my lunch.  Typically, leftovers come from dinner.  Since dinners usually have a higher calories/serving than I eat at lunch, that's a struggle.  But, I love having food ready.

Today, I had 1.5 servings left over from last week.

Leftover chicken tortilla soup with a treat

Sometimes you need a treat.  My favorite lately is 1 square of this:
Lindt Excellence A Touch of Sea Salt Dark Chocolate Bar, 3.5-Ounce Packages (Pack of 12)

Yum.

Rainy day snack

It's a rainy day in Washington.  I made it everywhere I needed to be including an interval & weight training class.  I craved a treat.

Peanut Butter English Muffin

I'm remembering Bob's Skinny Rules as I need a snack.

So, it's an Orowroot English Muffin (double fiber) with 1.5 T of Bees Knees PB that I adore!!!  Served with a big glass of water.

Bubble Up Turkey Enchilada

Dinner time!

Recipe here:

I had 1.5 servings with a small glass of red wine.  447 calories total

Enough wiggle room for a chocolate chip cookie from Costco.  I'll spare you the picture ;)

7 up Smothie

Taking a nod from this pin

Mine includes:
1 cup diet 7 up
1 cup strawberries
1 small banana
1 scoop Aria Vanilla Protein powder
Some ice

Made plenty!  About 200 calories
I needed the banana today after a tough RIPPED workout!

BBQ Pork Tenderloin Quesdilla

I find that counting calories is like being on a budget.  You start evaluating all your choices & making sure they are good ones before proceeding.  That and about 3 distractions are why it's almost 2 & I am finally eating lunch!

La Tortilla Factory Tortilla
Ultra Thin Sargento Cheddar Slice
3 oz pork tenderloin leftovers
Used Coconut Oil spray for the Pam

284 calories
Room for a yummy snack later!

Breakfast

Same thing as yesterday for breakfast today.  I try to wait until a little later in the morning to eat so I usually have my coffee 6-7, then eat around 8-9.

These muffins pack a great fiber punch at 8g!

What's your favorite morning food to get your day started right?

Modified from here:

Served with Hint of Lime Tortilla chips

Here's what my day looked like:

Love seeing that deficit! Happy dreaming!

Hot Chocolate

Instead of my Starbucks pick me up (usually 190 calories approx), I went with hot cocoa with some RediWhip at 100 calories to satisfy the craving while I did some computer work.

Nestlé Dark Chocolate Hot Cocoa Mix (80 cals)

Pork BBQ Baked Potato

Lunch today is leftover BBQ pork tenderloin with baked potatoes & a little cheddar cheese.

I recently bought a food scale to make sure I what I was eating was what I thought I was eating & to make accountability easier.

Shown here is a 499 calorie lunch- higher than I normally eat, but should keep me full till dinner!

Crock Pot Pork Tenderloin

I didn't get a photo of the meal, but here is what it consisted of.  It's a screen shot from my favorite calorie/fitness app- SparkPeople.

The "Snacks" are high today because after bedtime, I am heading to a neighbor's house to do a little neighborhood craft with a glass of wine.  I usually don't drink alcohol during the week (it's easier for me than having to limit).  But when you're new to the neighborhood & you get invited- you go!

Cheers!

Snack time

The days I do back to back workouts, I am hungry but I try to stay focused that if I want to lose weight, I will be hungry. If I know I'm eating within my calorie range, then I am not starving.

But, snacks are important.  This afternoon: Ak-Mak crackers (2), with a wedge of Laughing Cow Light Swiss & raspberry flavored water.

Chocolate Peanut Butter (PB2) Smoothie with Aria Protein Powder

Here's my post-workout/lunch meal :

My smoothie included:
- 1 cup chocolate almond milk (unsweetened)
- 2 scoops Aria Vanilla Protein Powder
- 1 ripe banana
- 1 cup ice (approx)
- 2 Tbs PB2

(About 275 cals)

Breakfast was something I made ahead & can share tomorrow.

Snacks so far are the awesome Chocolate Peanut Butter Mixed Nuts from Emerald.  I HAVE to dish out my serving and be done or I would eat them all!
Emerald Sweet and Salty Dark Chocolate, Peanut Butter Blend, 11.5 Ounce

I'm re-starting the journey

Here's me... Here's what I'm doing to lose weight and get in shape for the trip of a lifetime.  Thirty-One is paying for me and my HOT (Husband of Thirty-One) to travel to the Dominican Republic, all expenses paid!  My littlest is no longer nursing and I do NOT have one on the way, so there's no better time to get in shape and healthy to feel good and look great on this amazing trip!

On this blog, I'll be sharing my daily details.  What I'm eating, apps I love, what work outs I am doing.  So that this doesn't clog the Facebook feeds of the uninterested, but is there because it's working and let's face it- when someone is having weight loss success, everyone wants to know what she's doing! Here we go!
